Lonestar Land Services has projects of various sizes and type all over the USA. While we typically do not discuss specifics regarding current clients and their projects, we certainly have performed a wide array of services for many well known companies over the last 20+ years and continue to do so today.

Here are a few examples.

NextEra Energy

NextEra Energy Resources, through its many subsidiaries, has been a client of Lonestar Land Services since 2009. Currently, Lonestar provides services for the acquisition of wind and solar farm leases as well as negotiating sites for battery storage across Texas and Oklahoma. Included in these projects are locating sites for MET towers, solar meters, switching stations, and substations as well as route development and acquisition of transmission lines for wind and solar farms. Other projects include pipeline Right-of-Way acquisition as well as management of ROW acquisition for dual circuit, high-voltage overhead transmission lines.

Plains Pipeline

Plains Pipeline, L.P. has contracted with Lonestar Land Services to handle multiple projects consisting of approximately 500 miles of Right-of-Way acquisition for transmission lines, replacement lines and gathering systems in Texas and New Mexico. Included are surface site acquisitions for above ground facilities ranging from tank farms, truck stations, injection sites, and various valve sites, along with permitting, survey and construction coordination, route development and cathodic protection. A large portion of these Plains’ projects are in and around the Permian Basin in urban and rural communities, requiring various pipe sizes and 20’ foot to 100’ permanent easement widths for single and multi-line rights as well as needed temporary and additional workspaces with access for construction.

Oryx Southern

Oryx Southern Delaware Oil Gathering and Transport, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary or Oryx Southern Delaware Holdings, has retained Lonestar Land Services to obtain Right-of-Way for a new petroleum pipeline system from origin points located in Pecos, Reeves and Ward Counties to destination points located in Crane and Midland, TX as well as gathering sites, tank batteries, tank stations and truck stations. As of the close of 2015, five anchor shippers were dedicating 220,000 operated acres with an area of mutual interest covering more than 1 million acres. Spanning portions of Reeves, Ward, Pecos, Crane, Upton and Midland counties, the system will have an initial capacity of 160,000 b/d with the capability to be expanded to up to 220,000 b/d based on demand.

The project is expected to include more than 300 miles of gathering pipeline, 100 miles of 16-inch diameter transmission pipeline and three storage terminals with 300,000 bbl of leased or owned working capacity. The OTP system will provide access to two major interconnects with delivery into Magellan’s Longhorn Pipeline and Enterprise Products Partners’ Midland Terminal, providing shippers with multiple takeaway options. The system also will have several truck unloading stations to facilitate the movement of trucked production in the area.

Project Areas

New Mexico – Acquisition of approximately 137 miles of access and easements to construct a dual circuit 345kV transmission line that interconnects Crossroads, Hobbs and Roadrunner substations in Lea and Roosevelt counties. Project is currently under construction, and we have agents supporting the construction efforts.

Mid Atlantic USA – Responsible for approximately 36 miles out of a 105 mile, 500kV transmission line in the Mid-Atlantic region, consisting of Right of Entry, Survey Permission, Acquiring Easements and Options, Fee Purchase and Construction access.

Southeastern USA– Along with other service providers, Lonestar is providing agents for approximately 540 miles of new high-voltage transmission lines through Oklahoma to bring renewable energy to local communities in Oklahoma.

Texas – Lonestar Land Services, LLC successfully acquired rights necessary for its client to build, own and operate 330 miles of dual circuit 345kV transmission line in ERCOT as part of a transmission grid improvement program, known as Competitive Renewable Energy Zones (CREZ). CREZ was mandated by the Texas legislature to strengthen and enhance the power grid.

Additional accomplishments in Texas Panhandle, Central, North and West Texas, Lonestar has acquired over a thousand miles of Right of Way/ easements for Overhead Transmission Electric lines ranging from 69kv up through 345kv, along with distribution lines, sub stations, switching stations and maintenance facilities.

Central USA – Lonestar Land Services LLC, has successfully acquired numerous right-of-way easements for multiple clients for long range electrical lines and wind farm and solar gen-tie transmission lines. Lonestar has also been successful in routing many of these lines, as well as lease/purchasing substations, facilities, temporary lay down yards and many permitting accomplishments in the State, Urban and Rural area’s. Minco-Pleasant Valley Draper a vital 345kv transmission line in Central OK of approximately 48 miles of critical infrastructure connecting 3 separate substations.
